How LexSite.com uses information provided by you : 

This site does not collect personally identifying information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals. The site collects personally identifying information in several ways including: 

-  when people register on our site to use services or to access areas of the site offered only to registered users; 

-  when people subscribe to our site to use services or to access areas of the site offered only to subscribers; 

-  when entering sweepstakes or contests; 

-  when using the email or "Recommend this Site to a friend" feature;

-  When submitted to register as a LexSite.com user: Personal information submitted will not be transferred to any non-affiliated third parties unless otherwise stated at the time of collection. To register as a Lexsite.com user, we request a chosen user login name and your email address as a unique identifier. We may also use your email address to send you occasional announcements of site service or product enhancements and new features on the web site, to send an occasional survey to monitor or improve the use and satisfaction of the site or to send you marketing or promotional material about selected partners. -  When submitted for sweepstakes or contests: Personal information submitted will not be transferred to any non-affiliated third parties unless otherwise stated at the time of collection. We may contact you either by email or by submitted telephone number specifically about a sweepstakes or contest issue. 

-  When submitted for editorial purposes: When people submit personally identifying information for editorial purposes, such as name, company or title, it may be used for editorial purposes, such as letters to the editor, calendar items, articles, etc., both on the web site and in the print editions of publications owned by LexSite.com Limited, as we would normally do if personally identifying information were sent to us offline. 

-  When submitted with "Recommend this site to a friend" feature: When a registered user of LexSite.com uses this feature, they are asked to supply their friend's name and email address to automatically send the friend a one-time email version of the story. We receive the friend's personally identifying information solely for the purpose of sending the information, and we do not presently store the information after the email is sent. 

-  When submitted to conduct transactions: To process a transaction or to offer a service, such as purchasing a subscription, personally identifying information may be transferred to another party to complete or fulfill the transaction or to provide the service or product. We may also use personally identifying information gathered offline, such as information provided as a print edition customer, to offer enhanced or premium services online. Financial information, such as credit card information, is currently collected by the payment gateway site, which is run by ICICI Limited, and is no way controlled by LexSite.com. LexSite.com does not receive or store credit card numbers or expiry dates or similar financial information. 

While LexSite.com will seek to require third parties with whom it has agreements to follow appropriate privacy policies, LexSite.com does not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of such third parties. 

LexSite.com web site users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, email address) on some areas of the LexSite.com web site, such as LexPages, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other parties. 

While your personally identifying information is protected as outlined above, we sometimes collect anonymous aggregated data and provide it to our advertisers for statistical purposes. For example, we might report to advertisers that a certain percentage of users are between the ages of 35 and 45, or are interested in a particular set of pages on the site.

Cookies

LexSite.com uses "cookies" in the browser files of a LexSite.com web site user's computer to track and monitor usage of subscription based services on the site. The cookies enable LexSite.com to relate a user's use of LexSite.com 's web site to information that the user has specifically and knowingly provided to LexSite.com. If you click on a link to our advertisers, you also may occasionally get cookies from them. LexSite.com does not control these cookies and these cookies are not subject to this policy. The use of advertising cookies sent by third-party servers is common in the Internet industry. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. Kids And Parents

LexSite.com is not intended for use by children, especially those under age 13. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information or use our public discussion areas, forums and chats. Minors under the age of 18 are prohibited from making purchases, including subscriptions, on our sites. If your children disclose information about themselves in our public discussion areas, they may get unsolicited messages from other parties. Accordingly, you should tell them not to do so. Log files

LexSite.com uses Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site, for example by blocking certain addresses that are inappropriately spidering or obsessively requesting files from our site. IP addresses are used to gather broad demographics information, such as a visitor's country, operating system, browser types, frequency of visit, etc. 

Security: 

LexSite.com takes reasonable precautions to protect your personally identifying information. When you submit information via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our order forms ask a user to enter financially sensitive information, such as a credit card number, that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry -- SSL. While on a secure page the lock icon on the bottom of most versions of web browsers, such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, shows a closed padlock. As detailed above, we do not currently collect or store financial information: such information is directly collected by the payment gateway provider, ICICI Limited. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take precautions to protect user information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job, for example, a billing clerk or a customer service representative, are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers used to store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
