Recruitment Rules For Group "C" Posts

(ii) Minimum speed of 30 w.p.m in English Typewriting or 25 w.p.m in Hindi Typewriting provided that a physically handicapped person who is otherwise qualified to hold a clerical post but doesn't possess the said qualification in typewriting may be appointed, subject to the condition that a medical board or the Civil Surgeon certified that the said handicapped person is not in a fit condition to be able to type.

9 Period of Probation, if any, Two years
10 Method of recruitment whether by direct recruitment or by deputation / transfer and percentage of the vacancies to be filled by various methods (i) 90% by direct recruitment
(ii) 10% vacancies shall be filled from amongst the Group 'D' who are matriculates or possess equivalent qualifications and have rendered 5 years regular service in Group 'D' on the basis of departmental competitive Examination. The maximum age limit for eligibility being 45 years (50 years for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes ). The maximum number of persons to be recruited by this method shall be limited to 10% of the vacancies of LDC's occurring in a year and unfilled vacancies shall not be carried over.
11 In case of recruitment by promotion/deputation/transfer grades from which promotion /deputation/transfer to be made Not Applicable
12 If a DPC exists what is its composition  Group 'C' DPC shall be constituted as below

Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit mentioned in Col. 6 of the recruitment rules will in each case be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India (Other than those in the Andaman and the Nicobar Islands and Lakhswadeep) .

In respect of the posts, the appointments to which are made through the Employment Exchange, the crucial date for determining the age limit, will, in each case, be the last date upto which the Employment Exchanges are asked to submit the names.

Note : While making appointment on transfer basis, Jr. Gestetner Operator and Daftary of the Income-Tax Settlement Commission will also be considered with other candidates.
