Knowledge of Constitution and Laws Necessary

It is necessary that citizens know what their own constitution is and what fundamental rights they possess and what fundamental duties they have to perform and what writ petitions are, because they concern the freedom and liberty of citizens. Learned Hand said "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women and when it dies there is no constitution and no law."

Justice Holmes, the famous Judge of the Supreme Court of U.S.A. explaining what law is, once said "Law has ceased to be a brooding omnipotence in the sky and has become flexible instrument of social order. The content of Rule of Law is dynamic". Friendman discussing the mission and aspect of law said "It would be tragic if the law were so petrified so as to be unable to respond to the unending change of Evolutionary of Revolutionary changes in the Society."

To quote the wise words of the distinguished President of U.S.A. General Eisenhower who while speaking of law and justice said "Administration of Justice is the highest function of a Civilised State."
